2022 US Eagle Scholarship Recipients Announced
Each year, US Eagle provides three $2,000 scholarships to students entering or attending an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university. From the many scholarship applications submitted by students across the state, three recipients were awarded 2022 Scholarships. The recipients were announced at this year’s Annual Meeting on May 4, 2022.

Vigil Bullying Prevention Scholarship – Anastasia Holguin
Anastasia is graduating from South Valley Academy and plans on attending St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas this fall, where she hopes to major in Computer Science. Anastasia submitted an essay describing her efforts and involvement in an anti-bullying program created by she and her peers at school.

Show Me Your SOUL Scholarship - Dylan Ortega
At US Eagle, SOUL stands for Sincerity, Objectivity, Urgency and Learning. Students were challenged to introduce an imaginary business with mission statement, vision, and values. Dylan created an employee demonstration video on how they can implement their company values into their daily workflow. Dylan is graduating from Volcano Vista High and plans to attend New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, where he looks to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Build A Branch Scholarship - Aydriane Vigil
Aydriane is graduating from Volcano Vista High School and will be attending UNM this fall. She submitted an essay describing her plan to build a credit union in White Rock, a rural New Mexican community, with creative solutions to gain the small community’s trust and better serve the underserved by providing career opportunities, financial literacy and a full range of financial services.
