2022 AACU Honorees: Marsha Majors & Pamelya Herndon 

The African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) announced their 2022 honorees for the African American Credit Union Hall of Fame.

We are very proud to share that Marsha Majors and US Eagle Board Secretary Pamelya Herndon will be inducted into the AACUC Hall of Fame in August. This honor is well-deserved and exciting for all involved.

Nadine Buerger: 40 Under 40 Nominee

Our very own Foundation Executive Director Nadine Buerger was named a recipient of Albuquerque Business First's 40 Under 40 Awards! Nominees were judged on their career achievements and philanthropic and community outreach.

We are very proud to share this well-deserved honor and recognition of the lasting impact she has made on the Foundation and US Eagle organization as a whole. We celebrated her achievements at the awards ceremony on May 19th.

Capital Top Lending Partner Award

Congratulations are in order for Larry Geter and Ernesto Salazar from our Business Lending team! Their hard work and dedication to serving our members earned the recognition for US Eagle as Top Lending Partner by Loan Volume for New Mexico.

As members expanded their businesses and purchased real estate during the pandemic, the department recognized the great need to utilize the 504-lending program. This program serves small businesses by allowing them to purchase real estate without having to bring as much equity into the project. This allows members to keep a portion of their cash for other Covid related needs.

Larry and Ernesto took the lead on this project by partnering with Capital CDC to help our members purchase the building for their business.

  US Eagle Marketing Team Wins National Awards

US Eagle was recently honored with four major awards from the CUNA, one Diamond Award, and three Category’s Best awards.

The awards were presented by the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,200 credit union marketing and business development professionals. Awards are given in each of 35 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.

US Eagle was awarded in the following categories:
    Category’s Best – Best Use of Humor – Rx No Overdraft Fees
  Category’s Best – Radio Spots (single or series): No Overdraft Fees/Courtesy Pay
  Category’s Best – Brand Awareness: Member Value
  Diamond Award – Complete Campaign – No Overdraft Fees

  CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council celebrated Diamond Awards Week on Friday, March 11, announcing winners in 35 categories. This year there were more than 1,200 entries from around the nation.
