US Eagle’s Junior Board of Directors is hosting a fall clothing and toy drive to benefit the non-profit organization Cuidando Los Niños (CLN). CLN’s mission is to break the cycle of homelessness for children and families by providing high-quality early childhood education, therapeutic services, supportive housing, and parent education.
The drive runs from October 12 through November 10. Collection boxes are located in our branches at Irving, Tennessee, and Osuna. Monetary donations can also be made at any of our branches. Just let your teller know that you are making a donation to the “JBOD Drive”.
Items that are acceptable for donation include:
- Hygiene products for children such as Shampoo and Conditioner, hair brushes and hair ties
- Hygiene products for women such as Deodorant, Body Wash and Shampoo
- Gently used and New Clothing for children sizes 6 months through 5/6T including:
- Please note all gently used items must be washed prior to drop off.
- Long Sleeve Shirts
- Jackets
- Pants
- Sweaters
- Toys for 6 weeks- 5yrs old (no board games, please)
The Junior Board of Directors is an innovative program, comprised of local youth ages 16 to 22. JBOD teaches future leaders about the rewards and responsibilities of sitting on a corporate board of directors; developing leadership skills; and how credit unions engage with communities.
