As an organization steeped in a tradition of being a transformative presence in the lives of those we serve, we open our doors and welcome all people, regardless of ethnicity, color, gender, or religion. That diversity provides us with the strength of perspective, and of empathy for all.
The recent attacks on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) again calls for us all to stand together to fight the hate. We cannot stand by in silence as our neighbors, friends, coworkers, and valued members of our communities are under attack.
Credit unions are cooperatives based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity. These values have been articulated through the Seven Principles of Cooperatives (click here for more information about the Principles). The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has established “diversity, equity, and inclusion” as an eighth cooperative principle of credit unions across the country. US Eagle strongly supports this principle!
It is our responsibility to create lasting social change, change that promotes equality in practice as well as in words. If you are looking to assist, below are some resources.
