US Eagle Members are reporting fraudulent text messages from sources claiming to be US Eagle representatives.
Please use caution if you receive a text that appears to be from US Eagle. Remember, we will NEVER ask for your online banking credentials, your personal information, or request for you to transfer funds.
If you do receive a text that you suspect to be an attempt of fraud, do not click on to any of the links that may be provided. Call us at 888-342-8766 during business hours (M-F 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sat 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) to report the incident. If you can, save the text so that we may investigate it further.
Here are three good practices that will help protect your accounts:
- Check your accounts regularly. Using an online account, you can easily check your transactions and balances at a time and place that is best for you. If you do not have an online banking account, itās easy to sign up. Visit useagle.org, and select the āFirst Time Userā link in the Log In box.
- Never give out your PIN. This advice may seem obvious, but fraudsters use every trick they can to get you to reveal your PIN. If you are ever asked over the phone to directly give your PIN to the person on the other end, donāt do it!
- Use strong passwords. Avoid birthdates, kidsā names, or other more obvious password practices. Itās also a good idea to include a series of numbers, letters, and symbols in your password. Try mixing up your letters and numbers, like using a ā3ā in place of an āEā.
