US Eagle Joins Bank On Burque

US Eagle has partnered with, and has attained certification from, the Cities For Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE Fund) to help unbanked and underbanked families gain affordable banking products and services.
Research from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation shows that there are many reasons consumers lack a basic checking account: not enough money for the minimum balance; distrust of financial institutions; high or unpredictable fees; or identification, credit or banking history problems. One key challenge facing unbanked and underbanked individuals has been a lack of safe and appropriate accounts offered by mainstream financial institutions, particularly those without overdraft. US Eagle’s FlexCheckingTM account now provides these features.

Locally, Bank on Burque is a City of Albuquerque economic inclusion initiative for connecting individuals and families to safe and affordable checking accounts available in the Albuquerque community. The Bank On Burque Coalition is a partnership between banks, credit unions, community organizations, banking regulators and the City of Albuquerque.
