The Volunteer Development Committee (VDC) at US Eagle recognizes volunteers in the community for their hard work and the positive impact they are having. 

Each month the VDC will select one individual who will be recognized for their outstanding work as the Volunteer of the Month.

The honored volunteer will have the opportunity to designate a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to receive a $1,000 donation from US Eagle Federal Credit Union.

Recognizing the Volunteers of the Month

Sandra – and her team of four – do it all for Gila Valley Community Partners (GVCP), a food bank that has fed 75+ local families for the past six years. When starting GVCP, no one on the team had previous experience in this area of charity, but failure was never an option.

Leticia Garcia-Gonzales

Leticia is a volunteer secretary of the County Fair Board and has dedicated the past 5 years of her life and over 1000 hours of her time to this organization. Her commitment provides the opportunity for local youth to shine and present all their hard work, ethics and dedication to their projects.

Donation Recipient: Rio Arriba County Fair Association

Annette is constantly out in the streets to help feed the homeless, hand out clothing and blankets, refer people to recovery services and directs those in need to food banks or to where they can find housing vouchers. She helps without judgement and sees everyone as equals.

Christine is dedicated to helping the elderly and low-income people in her neighborhood. She will assist with things like running errands, getting groceries, bringing those to appointments, and much more. She will lend a helping hand to everyone that she can. 

Donation Recipient: Roadrunner Foodbank

Ryan has been volunteering for a little over a year at LifeQuest – an organization that serves incarcerated and at-risk youth. During this time, he has provided mentoring and character development that has touched the lives of hundreds of Albuquerque youth.

Donation Recipient: LifeQuest USA

Danielle volunteers her time visiting hospice patients in their homes to provide socialization, emotional support and a supportive presence to the patient and family. Danielle has a heart for service to others and it shows on her commitment to her patients. She is currently pursuing medical school.
