Volunteer at a credit union…? It may not be the first volunteer opportunity that comes to mind but, as it turns out, it’s actually one of the very best. That’s because your credit union, as a not-for-profit entity, is involved in so many community organizations – giving you an array of ‘readymade’ volunteer options to choose from.
From hands-on, ‘paint brush and shovel’ opportunities, to helping ensure those with food insecurity don’t miss a much-needed meal, or even providing strategic and innovative committee support, we invite you to join us in making a difference in our communities. All of us could use your experience, brain power or even muscle.
Your efforts help amplify the overall credit union mission of ‘people helping people’.
If you are a student in high school or college and you are between the ages of 16-22, you are invited to be a volunteer in the credit union by joining the Junior Board of Directors. As a member of the Junior Board, you will gain skills and knowledge that will help you in developing your leadership style, understanding the importance of community outreach, and learning principles of financial literacy.
You may obtain a volunteer application on the website at USEagle.org.
